2011 was an exciting year in college tennis from start to finish, with outstanding performances from teams and individuals.

Steve Johnson of USC and Jana Juricova of Cal led the way, capturing the NCAA Singles titles and then receiving 2011 Campbell/ITA National College Player of the Year honors. The men from USC and the women from Florida also had big years, winning the team titles at the NCAA Championships.

The U.S. team competing in the sixth annual Master’U BNP Paribas in France brought the title back home to the United States with an exciting come-from-behind win over France, and eight juniors and 24 college players participated in the Napa Valley Tennis Classic in St. Helena, Calif., with Nick Andrews of Cal taking home the singles title.

Other highlights from 2011 include the USTA Summer Collegiate Team and Pro Tour Transition Camps, in which 13 men and six women participated, 156 Campus Showdowns and 163 Campus Kids' Day events held during the year, and 25 registered providers of the Campus QuickStart program.
